Max

LoweBowes Photography was started 7 years ago when friends and family encouraged me to take their family and pet photos. I have to admit that taking pet photos is my absolute favourite collection to shoot. This is why I charge a minimal amount for the collection. At the end of June, I met a friend at her home to take photos of her newest fur kid, Max. Even though the shoot was to focus on Max, whom was adopted through AARC (Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society), I could not resist snapping a few images of Katie, his feline sister.

We took Max out for a walk in an off-leash where he performed marvellously. He really enjoyed his role as the canine model. We then went back to the house where I was able to capture a few shots of Max and Katie, comfortable in their home environment. Here is their video.

Greyt Rescue Groups

Greyhounds are a big part of my life. I adopted my first Greyhound, Typewriter, 12 years ago. Sadly he developed Cancer and left us for the Rainbow Bridge 5 years ago now. We missed having a dog in our lives and thought we would try fostering a Greyhound for one of the organizations in Calgary. We are happy to say, “We Failed Fostering” and adopted our foster, Berniece.  Niecey is so much a part of our lives.  I adore her.

I often volunteer to take photos or set up a mini studio at Fund Raising events to raise money for these fabulous organizations that dedicate their time to finding Forever Homes for the retired Greyhound. On June 14 I set up my studio during the Northern Sky Greyhound Rescue Association 1st Annual Fiesta here in Calgary. The video is a compilation of photos from the event.
