Lisa and Dan

I first met Lisa and Dan several years ago when I played women’s touch football with Lisa. Shortly afterward they had their first boy Brady, followed by Keenan and Emerson. This year we met at Baker Park across the river from Bowness Park. It is a beautiful park full of pathways and trees that were just starting to turn their fall colours. Lisa likes how I desaturate some of my photos as do I. I decided to do this technique on all her selected photos and put them into a video for her. I also provided her with all the selected photos in full colour in case she wants some of those as well.

Jenn and Dave

I have had the great fortune to take photos of Jenn and Dave’s family for several years now.  I first met them first when Shawn was only 7 months old.  They now have a new addition, Jillian, who was also 7 months at the time of the shoot.  We had great fun in Fish Creek Park during the photo session.  I can hardly wait until next year.

Renee and Ryan’s Family

On September 10 I packed up my camera gear and headed to the north edge of Calgary to the acreage of Renee and Ryan.  I have had the absolute pleasure of capturing intimate family moments with this wonderful family a few times now and always look forward to visiting with them.  They are so welcoming and laid back.  The kids, Somwyn, Malaya and Rhys are a joy to photograph.

This is the first time that I have taken family photos in the evening just before sunset.  The weather was perfect.  The golden sunset accentuated the leaves that are changing colour and the fields that surround the acreage.

As part of my Family Collection package, I create a video with some of the photos from the photo session.  The following is the video created for Renee and her Family.

Jen, Clark, Ryley and Brayden

On September 21, I met with Jen, Clark and their two wonderful boys Ryley and Brayden.  We traveled east of town to a gravel road that holds great significance for Jen and Clark.  They had some ideas as to what they wanted for photos and I added a few ideas of my own.  We took several photos on the road and in the adjacent wheat field then headed back into to town to a local park to continue with the shoot.

I encourage clients to give me some ideas of what they would like from their photos.  It was fun working with Jen  to try to achieve what she envisioned for her dining room wall.  Hopefully our combined efforts result in something she and Clark will enjoy for years to come.
